French brand from the beginning of the 20th century.

The EDAC company was created by J. Bonhomme in Issy-Les-Moulineaux, then moved to Boulevard Arago in Paris after the First World War. At the beginning, it mainly marketed mechanical pencils in metal with progression of the mine by rotary system. In parallel with this important production, the company launched into the manufacture of fountain pens around 1922. In 1931 the Italian company AURORA decided to sell its products in France. To do this, she chooses EDAC which will take care of the promotion and sale of her pens. From this punctual collaboration will be born a common product: the Modern Duo. In 1959, EDACOTO joined forces with five other manufacturers (EVERGOOD, MALLAT, GOLDSTARRY, WALK OVER, SOMA) to create the VISORPEN. This was bought by MALLAT at the end of the 1950s and for some time its name still appeared next to that of its owner, before disappearing altogether.
